Grid Services Base Library (GSBL)
The Grid Services Base Library (GSBL) is a Java toolkit that aims to reduce the complexity of writing Grid services using the Globus Toolkit (version 4). GSBL provides base classes from which clients and services can extend; additionally, it provides features for executing and managing remote jobs and file transfers. While this toolkit has a number of features that are used especially by our Grid system, we hope other people will be able to adapt some or all of this code for their own purposes.

Please note that contained in the GSBL distribution is a Perl module, GSBL::Client, that must be installed in order for the client Perl scripts produced by the Grid Services Generator to work. To install:
cd [unpacked_GSBL_directory]/GSBL/Client
perl Makefile.PL
make install
Grid Services Generator (GSG)
As a complement to the GSBL library, the Grid Services Generator (GSG) speeds the development of Grid services by automatically creating the skeleton files required by a GSBL service. This includes WSDL files, Java files, Globus configuration files, and others. See the README file included in the distribution for further instructions.
